Jagatsukh, Kullu-Manali

 Jagatsukh, the former capital of Kullu lies about 12 km north of Nagar and six km south of Manali on the left-bank road. It once used to be the capital of Kullu state until it was supplanted by Nagar. There are some very old temples in the village, particularly the Shiva temple. A nearby village namely Shuru has the very old and historically interesting Devi Sharvali Temple.

Jagatsukh located in a picturesque location, boasts about being one of the major villages in Kullu District. It has a number of ancient temples like Shiva Temple, built in Shikhara style which is 6 km from Manali, a small shrine of Gaurishankar and the chalet-roofed temple dedicated to Goddess Sandhya Devi.
